"The era is literally changing. As we witness the impact of women's leadership, more women are gaining confidence to build themselves and help shift the paradigm."

Dr. R. I. Minu, Chair of the Chennai ACM-W Chapter, highlights the transformative impact of women’s leadership in computing. As more women step into leadership roles, confidence grows, new perspectives emerge, and the paradigm of technology continues to evolve. Her message reminds us that empowering women in technology strengthens innovation and shapes the future of our field.

"Thousands of kilometers (miles) may separate us, but we stand together, breaking barriers for women in computing."

Dr. Pamela Fleischmann, Chair of the Kiel ACM-W Chapter, highlights the strength of global community in computing. Her words remind us that although distance may separate us, collaboration and shared purpose unite women worldwide in breaking barriers and advancing inclusion in technology.

"Let's build a secure, resilient, and responsible digital future where women in tech lead with confidence, and connection drives progress."

In this reflection, Dr. Oleksandra Yeremenko, Chair of the Kharkiv Information & Communication Technologies (ICT) ACM-W Chapter, emphasizes the importance of building a secure, resilient, and responsible digital future — one where women in technology lead with confidence and collaboration drives progress. Words Matter

As part of ACM’s efforts to combat exclusion in the computing profession, ACM's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Council has launched an effort to replace offensive or exclusionary terminology in the computing field. They have developed a list of computing terms to be avoided in professional writing and presentations and offer alternative language. The Council plans to expand this list in the future and invites the community to submit suggestions for consideration.
