ACM Open Conference Statement
The open exchange of ideas and the freedom of thought and expression are central to the aims and goals of ACM and its conferences. These aims and goals require an environment that recognizes the inherent worth of every person and group, that fosters dignity, understanding, and mutual respect, and that embraces diversity.
ACM is firmly committed to prohibiting discrimination at its conferences against individuals because of race, color, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, marital status religion, national origin, ancestry, or disability. All individuals are entitled to participate in any ACM activity free of discrimination, including harassment based on any of the above factors.

SIG Conference Planning Guide

SIGCSE TS 2026, Feb. 18 - 21
The SIGCSE Technical Symposium addresses problems common among educators working to develop, implement and/or evaluate computing programs, curricula, and courses. The symposium provides a forum for sharing new ideas for syllabi, laboratories, and other elements of teaching and pedagogy, at all levels of instruction. Workshops and posters include "Technology and Data Infrastructure for CS Education Research," Computer Science Enrollment Through a Community Data Lens," and more. Keynote speakers include Titus Winters (Adobe) and Amy J. Ko (University of Washington Information School). The event is being held in St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

WSDM 2026, Feb. 22 - 26
The ACM International Conference on Web Search and Data Mining is one of the premier conferences on web-inspired research involving search and data mining. Workshops include "GenAI4SM: Generative AI for Streaming Media," "Generative AI for Recommender Systems and Personalization," "Benchmarking Causal Models," and more. WSDM is a highly selective conference that includes invited talks, as well as refereed full papers. Keynote speakers are Kristina Lerman (Indiana University), James Caverlee (Texas A&M University), and Ed H. Chi (Google DeepMind). The event will be held in Boise, Idaho, USA.

Virtual Conferences: A Guide to Best Practices
In March 2020 ACM formed a Presidential Task Force (PTF) to help conference organizers transition their events to online. The PTF is working on a guide to offer practical advice and shed light on the largely unfamiliar territory of online conferencing.
The report, available here, includes pointers to a live document with additional resources. We welcome comments, suggestions and experience reports from the community.
