Alison Derbenwick Miller Named CEO of ACM

ACM has named Alison Derbenwick Miller Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director effective August 3, 2026.
As ACM’s most senior staff member, Derbenwick Miller will work alongside ACM's volunteer leadership and professional staff to strengthen the Association's role as the global home for the computing community while advancing its mission of research, education, professional development, and scientific collaboration.
Derbenwick Miller brings more than three decades of executive leadership experience spanning research, education, enterprise technology, and global partnerships. A longtime ACM volunteer leader, she most recently served as Co-Chair of the ACM Education Board and as an ACM Council Member-at-Large, and previously served as a member of the ACM Presidential Taskforce on Finance and on the Board of the Computer Science Teachers Association (CSTA). Her in-depth knowledge of the Association combined with her extensive experience uniquely positions her to lead ACM through its next chapter.
