Ask Me Anything with ACM President Yannis Ioannidis
On January 1, 2026, all ACM publications and related artifacts in the ACM Digital Library became open access. This was the result of extensive dialogue with authors, SIG leaders, editorial boards, libraries, and research institutions worldwide. At the same time, the Digital Library platform has been rearchitected and is now offered in two editions, Basic and Premium. Based on feedback from the community, the DL offering has already evolved with more rollouts planned further down. While that feedback and the response to the overall transition have been overwhelmingly positive, some members of the computing community have expressed concerns and questions regarding the changes in the DL.
ACM President Yannis Ioannidis and other volunteer leaders would like to address these matters with an Ask Me Anything session in which they will accept questions directly from those in attendance. All are welcome to join the webinar and be heard.
