Call for Participation: ITiCSE 2026 Working Group on Globalizing Computing Terminology
A task force of the ACM Education Board is working on globalizing computing terminology. In support of this effort, the task force is organizing a Working Group at the ITiCSE 2026 conference to be held in Madrid, Spain, July 13 - 15, 2026. In the Working Group, which will meet regularly from March through December of this year, a resource will be built that computing educators can use to compare and contrast computing terms used in different countries and regions. To ensure success of this effort, the task force wants to recruit computing educators from diverse geographic regions and educational heritages for the Working Group.
