Call for Participation - ACM India Annual Event 2026

The ACM India Council extends a warm invitation to the ACM India Annual Event (https://event.india.acm.org/annualevent/home/) representing and celebrating some of the best contributions in computing from across the world and India. We look forward to meeting you in person at the Indian Institute of Technology at Hyderabad (IITH) on 14 February 2026.

The ACM India Annual Event is a great occasion to celebrate all our cumulative achievements in computing. It also provides a great opportunity to network with representatives of the computing community in India as well as eminent international contributors to computing including the recipient of the prestigious Turing Award (considered the equivalent of the Nobel Prize in Computing).

This year the event will feature invited talks by:

  • Prof. Raj Reddy, Indian-American Computer Scientist, ACM Turing Awardee, Carnegie Mellon University,
  • Prof. Abhik Roychoudhury, Provost’s Chair Professor, NUS Computer Science
  • Dr. Pratyush Kumar, Co-Founder SARVAM AI,
  • Prof. Soumen Chakrabarti, Professor of Computer Science at IIT Bombay.

Another highlight of the event is the awards ceremony to felicitate the recipients of the ACM India Awards including:

  • Doctoral Dissertation Award (DDA)
  • Early Career Researcher Award (ECR)
  • Outstanding Contribution to Computing Education Award (OCCE)
  • Outstanding Contributions to Computing by a Woman Award (OCCW)
  • Outstanding Applied Innovation in Computing (OAIC)
  • Chapter Awards.

We expect at least 500+ students & faculty to attend the event; I am sure you would like to be one of them. In addition to the above list of speakers, there will be many prominent academicians and researchers who will be attending the Annual event, including ACM President Yannis Ioannidis, ACM India Council members, and many others.
